Blood and Lymphatic Cancers (Lymphoma, Leukemia, Myeloid and Myeloma)

Overview

The former Cancer Care Manual has been updated and is now being presented as clinical care pathways.  Given the distinct differences in the management and prognosis of these cancers, separate clinical care pathways are being developed to address each major cancer type.  Please refer to the tumour-specific pages of the Overarching Clinical Care Pathways page linked below.

Overarching Clinical Care Pathways

These pathways have been designed, thoroughly reviewed, and approved by the respective provincial Tumour Group.  They reflect the ideal, current standards of care and will undergo annual reviews to ensure ongoing relevance.  Please note, many of these pathways are still in development.

Some blood and lymphatic cancers are quite rare in British Columbia and their optimal management must be individualized. Please consult one of the oncologist or hematologist members of the respective Tumour Group at one of the BC Cancer Centers for recommendations concerning evaluation and management of these patients.
