Residency Training Program Committee

Dr Howie Lim is the Program Director of the Medical Oncology Training Program of BC. The program director chairs the residency training program committee meetings which includes representatives from other BC Cancer centres. The committee meets quarterly.

Affiliations

In addition to full-time staff, BC Cancer has a large consulting staff. Our academic and clinical activities are closely linked with the Division of Radiation Oncology (and their training program), the Department of Medicine (particularly the Division of Hematology), the Department of Surgery (including Gyneoncology), the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and the Department of Diagnostic Imaging.

The 800 bed Vancouver General Hospital is adjacent to BC Cancer, Vancouver Centre, and is one of the central clinical teaching hospitals for UBC.

BC Cancer's Research Centre houses over 13 broad research areas and is located across the street from the Vancouver Centre.
