Medical physicists are a key part of the interdisciplinary team providing 
state-of–the-art radiation therapy care to the entire population of British Columbia. Medical physicists have the opportunity to practice at the top of their professional scope in the clinical, academic and administrative domains. 

BC Cancer medical physicists support three university-based, CAMPEP-accredited graduate programs; most are also faculty members with BC Cancer's provincial CAMPEP-accredited Residency Training Program, one of the largest of its kind in North America.

Our provincial network of cancer care specialists includes 350 radiation therapists, 110 radiation oncologists, 70 medical physicists, 141 medical oncologists, and numerous other health professionals, researchers, and support positions who contribute to supporting patients across BC.

Equipment & treatments available at each centre

At each of BC Cancer’s regional cancer centres, medical physicists provide care for patients as valued members of the interdisciplinary team. Each centre offers comprehensive external beam radiation therapy treatment for patients, and with some centres also offering brachytherapy and specialized treatments for specific cancers. 

Relocation assistance is available to those who qualify, to support your move to British Columbia, Canada.
