This past year, BC Cancer marked our 85th anniversary by celebrating our amazing people and how every achievement, milestone and moment of care and compassion has counted in the lives of our patients and those who love them. 

Since the opening of our first cancer treatment centre, BC Cancer has grown dramatically, from five staff members in a renovated house to almost 5,000 people working across six regional centres with four more in development for Burnaby, Kamloops, Nanaimo and Surrey. We've led the way nationally and internationally in cancer screening, prevention, treatment and research. And every step of the way, our care teams have innovated, bringing the latest advances to people with cancer in our province.

As part of our celebrations, we invited our staff and physicians to share moments that matter, what fills them with pride and how they and their colleagues make a meaningful difference every day. We are pleased to share our special 85th anniversary video.
