Unit clerk careers
BC Cancer is hiring unit clerks across British Columbia. You can build your career while supporting patients through their cancer journey at one of our six regional cancer centres: Prince George, Kelowna, Abbotsford, Surrey, Victoria and Vancouver.
Unit clerks play an important role on the care team. They support patient admissions and referrals, manage medical records, process provider orders, and work closely with the clinical teams, doctors and community partners. Their work helps ensure patients receive timely and coordinated care.
Unit clerks bring strong organizational skills, careful attention to detail and compassionate communication to their work. They manage many tasks at once while staying calm and kind with colleagues, patients and families. They also look for better ways to work, while always keeping people first.
BC Cancer offers many opportunities for growth. Unit clerks can explore leadership and education roles, including supervisory and clerical educator roles. You can also enjoy a healthy work-life balance, with Monday-to-Friday schedules and staggered times for day shifts.
