We provide face-to-face and phone interpreting for patients and families whose English skills are limited or absent.
If you need an interpreter, please let the admitting desk know when you come for your first visit, or let one of your health-care team members know at any time during your treatment.
Interpreter services are available to help you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Interpreters translate for patients or families whose English skills are limited or absent. They can help during appointments or over the phone.
Family and friends still have a role in interpreter-assisted appointments. It is the same role a family member or friend would play when both parties speak English – one of support.
Some of our pamphlets have been translated into different languages. If a document is available in a different language, this will be noted along with the document title.
- Our patient information booklet on radiation therapy is available in Chinese
- Many of the drug information pamphlets in our drug index are available in Chinese or Punjabi
