Clinical Trials and Research

BC Cancer Victoria is committed to advancing cancer care through research and clinical innovation. Our clinical research unit supports a broad portfolio of studies, from interventional trials evaluating new therapies to observational studies that improve how we understand and treat cancer in our community.

This body of work is possible through the work of our dedicated team, made up of clinical research staff, as well as nationally and internationally recognized physician scientists.

We currently support studies across a range of cancer types and treatment modalities, including systemic therapy, radiation, dual modality, and supportive care.

Open Clinical Trials

A clinical trial is a research study designed to evaluate new treatments, combinations of treatments, or approaches to care. Participation in a clinical trial is always voluntary, and you can withdraw at any time without affecting your standard of care.

To find out whether a clinical trial may be available to you, speak with your BC Cancer physician or care team. You can also view currently open trials at BC Cancer Victoria through the link below.

Clinical Research

Clinical research, including registries, biobanking, and research projects at BC Cancer Victoria is conducted in partnership with national and international cooperative groups, academic centres, industry sponsors, and investigator-initiated projects with BC Cancer. Our dedicated research team works alongside oncologists and other specialists to ensure that eligible patients are informed of, and supported through, research participation.
