PET Technologists
BC Cancer is hiring Nuclear Medicine/Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Technologists for positions across British Columbia! Build your career in oncology from one of our three regional cancer centres offering our PET Molecular Imaging Therapy program: Kelowna, Victoria or Vancouver.
PET Technologists are key members of our interdisciplinary teams who provide cancer care and treatment to patients across the province. Working with BC Cancer, you will collaborate with a wide range of health care professionals such as physicians, medical physicists, nurses, radiation therapists, and administrative team members. Duties range from clinical and research imaging to delivering cutting edge therapies for cancer patients.
PET Technologists contribute directly to patient care by using the latest technology to improve the early diagnosis and management of cancer. The Molecular Imaging Therapy program is:
- Building on research for discovery, development and application of new radiotracers
- Collaborating with a growing network of molecular imaging programs across Canada and world-wide

BC Cancer is growing, with two additional regional centres planned within the next few years. New job opportunities will be available as we continue to serve more patients across B.C. As part of a provincial service, our teams work collaboratively with their colleagues across B.C., who are available to consult, mentor and train fellow health care providers.

PET Technologists provide direct patient care, working as valued members of the interdisciplinary team (offered at the Vancouver, Victoria, and Kelowna regional cancer centres).
Recent Ministry approval of BC Cancer’s 10 year Cancer Action Plan includes the provincial expansion of both PET/CT imaging and radiopharmaceutical production capacity and the continued development of a Theranostics program. Planning and construction of these components is currently underway.

- Fully licensed PET cyclotron/radiopharmaceutical laboratory with 3 separate cleanrooms
- Separate micro-PET research facility
- Clinical FDG scanning, multiple research radiotracer clinical trials
- Functional Imaging Program recognized as Canada's first Comprehensive Therapy Centre for Excellence (Society of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging)
